Not only has Matt Reeves signed on to direct The Batman, but The Lego Batman Movie director Chris McKay is in negotiations to direct a Nightwing movie, too.

Mask of the Phantasm is still the best animated Batman film

23 years and countless direct-to-video movies later, this Gothic romance is still the high watermark for animated Batman features.

There’s been no shortage of animated Batman films over the last 23 years, culminating in the release of The Lego Batman Movie later this week. Some of them have been pretty good, and a few of them have been great – but none of them have explored the character as successfully as Mask of the Phantasm.

The LEGO Batman Movie director wants to make a live-action DC movie

It might just be the best thing to ever happen to the DCEU.

Chris McKay, the director of The LEGO Batman Movie, has tweeted that he’s keen to be part of the DCEU, and Warner Bros would be crazy not to make it happen.
